Insurance Approval for IRVAP Members
Pet and Equine Insurance
It is very likely that IRVAP members will be involved in providing treatment to insured animals under a veterinary surgeon's referral.
IRVAP has contacted the following animal insurance companies and as such can state that these companies require that the case is referred to you by a veterinary surgeon, and that you are a qualified veterinary physiotherapist.
They do not require membership of any professional body, although the extra support of being a member of IRVAP will be of benefit to the individual if the case turns out to be difficult to manage.
In most cases the use of hydrotherapy needs specific approval from the insurance company.
The telephone numbers given are either for the automated exchange, or for claims, listed alphabetically. They are intended for use by IRVAP members for contacting the claims departments, but owners wishing to insure their animals may also find these numbers useful.
